7/27 Homeward Bound

During our drive to the Hong Kong Airport, Nicholas catches a rainbow peeking through the clouds.

Ella sleeps through it all. But wakes up when we get to the airport and find a Burger King. Did you know that Burger King sells beer in Hong Kong?

We fly to Tokyo first and then on to LA.

Customs in the US took forever. They didn't seem prepared for the masses of people that were on our plane. I estimated we were well over 600 passengers and they had less than 10 agents checking us in.

Our layover in LA is ~5 hours. We eat pizza, fall asleep, drink starbucks, play cards, talk on the phone, charge our IPODs, and talk with other passengers. The kids are showing me their leg, representing "THE LAST LEG" of our two week trip.

I read somewhere that traveling is not about learning about other people but learning about yourself. I've learned a greater appreciation for our country, its cleanliness, and its opportunities. I am happy to be home.
